A Station for Dictation (ASFD) was incorporated in 1998 due to rapid growth and success. Our longterm goal at that time was to concentrate on improving our services to provide a secure and cost-effective document management system for our health care community. We saw the increase in the needs of the medical field and felt that through advanced technology, we could provide the means to fill it. Government regulations and insurance demands have put increasingly more stress on medical facilities and private physicians. While hospitals and larger clinics have financial resources to meet these demands, individual practitioners and small/mid-sized clinics have found themselves faced with a growing burden. The traditional methods of handwritten notes are still widespread; however, they are costly, because they are written by the doctor, creating liability issues and occasionally causing coding errors. Furthermore, handwritten notes may be rejected by insurance companies. Tapes are also shunned by the Compliance Committee, because tapes are easily lost and accessed by people outside of the medical profession; thus, confidential patient information could be shared outside of the medical realm. Through providing services for hospitals, clinics, and physicians we have learned what keeps our clients satisfied:
We have reached the goal we made to improve our services to provide a secure and cost-effective document management system for our health care community and we would like to offer our services to you. We continue to improve our system still, and we know that our transcription services will save you time, money, and headaches. |
